McKernan Joins Webster Bank as Managing Director, ABL Originations

STAMFORD, Conn., July 28, 2022 – Webster Bank is pleased to announce that it is expanding its commitment to its Asset Based Lending division with the addition of Chris McKernan as Managing Director, ABL Originations. McKernan will report to David Viggiano, Sales Manager, West Region, Asset Based Lending.

Based in Seattle, Washington, McKernan’s territory will encompass the Pacific Northwest and Northern California, where he will focus on new client acquisition with established referral sources to deepen and expand existing client relationships, and evaluate and structure prospective asset-based credit solutions. Webster’s Commercial Banking ABL division operates nationwide.

“Expanding our lending activities in the Pacific Northwest is an important next step for the ABL team,” said Viggiano. “Chris’ deep experience in asset based lending and commercial finance will help our team drive sales in that region.”

With more than 30 years of asset-based and commercial finance experience, McKernan has worked for Finova Capital, Guaranty Business Credit, LaSalle Business Credit, Marquette Business Credit, First Capital and First Business Bank.

McKernan earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon.
