Teshia Levy-Grant is Senior Vice President, Diversity and Inclusion Officer. She joined Webster in February of 2020.
With more than 12 years of diversity and inclusion (D&I) experience, Teshia drives our bank-wide D&I strategy and initiatives. She is responsible for long-term planning and execution of goals aimed at promoting a diverse workforce and fostering an open and inclusive work environment. Teshia leads the Diversity and Inclusion Council and works to expand the network of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) such as the Webster Women’s Initiative Network (WeWIN).
In addition to leading Webster’s efforts internally, Teshia is responsible for expanding Webster’s diversity programs and partnerships within our local communities, as well as with colleges and universities.
Teshia comes to Webster from Wesleyan University, where she spent four years as Dean for Equity and Inclusion. In this role, she provided leadership through the development and implementation of institutional-wide multicultural programming and created educational access opportunities to maintain a campus environment that was inclusive and diverse.
In addition to her leadership role at Wesleyan, as an Anti-Bias and Diversity Education Program Facilitator for the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) of Connecticut, Teshia worked with educational administrators to drive and create organizational policies and procedures surrounding issues of inclusion and diversity. She also created and facilitated diversity programs and conducted workshops for students, teachers, administrators and staff.
Teshia holds a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in Counseling from Central Connecticut State University.
